Saumil Shah holds both a Bachelor and Master in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, USA. After university, he worked 3 years at Pratt & Whitney in aircraft engine design before moving to General Electric (GE) for Thailand, Myanmr and Laos. During 14 years there, Saumil held various positions including field engineer, Six Sigma Black Belt, commercial director and market development director for renewables and product line General Motor (GM). He was a founder and CEO of EnerGaia’s company that produce spirulina in 2009. He has conducted extensive research, developed a new algae bioreactor system; built a pilot project site; and assembled a top-notch local team of microbiologist, carbon experts, food & beverages industry leaders, and socially-minded individuals to support the company’s goals and objectives.
