Education is vital to the development and success of a nation. Einstein once reminded us that “we cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.” This undoubtedly implies the importance of continuing education and research. At the heart of a nation’s social and intellectual health is education and research. Nations thrive through education, research, and development. It is also through education that ideological radicalism and extremism can be avoided and circumvented. It is through education that global peace and universal harmony can be conceived and acquired.
The world has collectively set the minimum standard of educational achievement. The Muslim World is clearly a subset of this world. Their educational system(s), therefore, must be part of the current universal education standard
- Knowledge is power and empowerment. So, educate and empower everyone in society – men, women, young & old. Teach every Muslim to study and conduct research, and overcome illiteracy.
- Knowledge knows no limits and boundaries; it is a lifelong learning. So, encourage every citizen to study continuously.
- Knowledge generates economy and builds a nation. So, let no one remain behind.
