
Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir (Minister of Higher Education, Malaysia)
He holds a PhD in Political Thought and a Master’s degree in Political Philosophy and Comparative Religion from Temple University, United States, as well as a Master’s in Islamic Thought and a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Throughout his career, Dr. Zambry has held several key leadership positions, including Minister of Foreign Affairs, the 11th Chief Minister of Perak, Member of the Perak State Executive Council, and State Assemblyman for Pangkor. His contributions have focused on nation-building, educational advancement, innovation, and youth empowerment. As Minister of Higher Education, he is leading efforts to strengthen Malaysia’s higher education ecosystem through academic excellence, impactful research, talent development, and international collaboration. He is also a strong advocate for ethical research, quality education, and the development of future-ready graduates equipped with both professional competencies and strong values. Beyond government service, Dr. Zambry remains active in academia as an Adjunct Professor at IIUM and Professor in Practice at Putra Business School, Universiti Putra Malaysia, contributing to scholarly discussions on leadership, governance, and sustainable development.
