YAB Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah Yusof

YAB Datuk Amar Haji Fadillah Haji Yusof (Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation of Malaysia) 

YAB Datuk Amar Haji Fadillah Haji Yusof is a Malaysian politician and lawyer who has served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia since 2022, making history as the first Deputy Prime Minister from Sarawak. Since 2023, he has also served as the Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, while continuing his role as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Petra Jaya, a position he has held since March 2004. Prior to his current appointments, Dato’ Sri Fadillah served as the Minister of Plantation and Commodities from December 2022 to December 2023. Between December 2019 and March 2020, he chaired the Science, Innovation and Environment Select Committee, becoming one of only two opposition MPs to lead a parliamentary select committee at the time. A member of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), a component party of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) coalition, he serves as GPS Parliamentary Whip and has been Senior Vice President of PBB since 2017. He also served as PBB Youth Chief from 2007 to 2017.
